Rules

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of a controlled high speed driving event, and to establish the minimum acceptable requirements for such events. All participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS.  The rules and/or regulations are intended as a guide for the conduct of the hobby and are, in no way, a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The Event Steward is empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the rules and/or regulations or impose further restrictions as he/she sees appropriate and shall Not alter the original minimum requirements.  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is at the discretion of the Event Steward and his/her decision is final.

GENERAL RULES:

Equipment, and minimum standards are listed below:

SA2015 or newer helmet. Long Pants. Closed toe shoes. No polyester. Race suit and gloves are encouraged, but not required.

Speed Limits will be discussed at the Driver Meeting and may be adjusted due to weather.

On your initial yellow flag laps of each session, please look and acknowledge your corner workers. Do not pass under yellow flag conditions.

In the event of an emergency (Red Flag condition), pull to the left of the track, stay on the pavement, and stay in your vehicle.  Emergency vehicles may be on their way to assist a fellow driver in need.

Seat belts and helmet straps must be maintained tightly at all times.

Convertibles must have their tops down and secured at all times, unless deviated due to weather conditions by the Event Steward.

NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ARE PERMITTED AT ANY TIME. YOU WILL BE REMOVED AND NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED IF YOU ARE FOUND UNDER THE INFLUENCE.

This is a High Speed Driving Event, NOT A RACE.  Also, this is not a driving school, however, volunteer instructors very familiar with each particular track and will be available to provide basic driving instruction and on occasion ride-alongs to help enhance your open track experience. At BINGE, we do not require our instructors to ride with students. We value their safety and comfort.

Be cognizant of conditions all around your vehicle at all times.  Use your mirrors and always look over your right shoulder for oncoming traffic when entering the track.

PASSING:

Passing is allowed in the all groups, but passing rules vary below. All passing will be conducted as per the instructions at the mandatory driver meeting.

Advanced Group is open passing. Point-by is always preferred.

Intermediate 1-2 Group are point-by passing only. Passing zones vary per track.

NOVICE GROUP IS LEAD-FOLLOW UNTIL WE OPEN PASSING!  Passing on straights only.

The lead driver must point the passing vehicle while remaining on the driving ling. This will be covered more in the Mandatory Driver Meeting.

All drivers must attend the Mandatory Driver Meeting each morning. Miss the meeting, you do not drive, and no refunds or allowances will be made.

This is a rain or shine event.  In the event of light rain, we will continue to run.  In the event of heavier rain and/or lightning, our schedule will be adjusted to compensate. Patience is of the utmost importance. The weather is one thing that none of us can control. Events will not be cancelled due to weather.

The outside lane on the pit road is designated as a pull through lane. The inside lane is for entering and exiting the track.

RECKLESS DRIVING of any kind will not be tolerated.  If you get a visit by the Grid Marshall or the Event Steward for such behavior, you may be given a single warning.  A second visit, and you go home.  No exceptions.

Our priority for each event is  SAFETY. Your safety is our utmost concern.  We have an amazing safety record and intend to keep it that way.

The Event Steward reserves the right to disqualify, remove, or dismiss any driver or vehicle at his/her discretion based on conditions that may warrant such action.

Never stop on the track except under red flag conditions.

Never leave your vehicle while on the track, except in the event of a fire.

Passengers will be allowed to ride with Advanced and Time Attack drivers ONLY. Time Attack drivers may have spotters ride with during sessions. You may take a single passenger with proper safety equipment and clothing during your run group session. More details on passengers will be covered at the Mandatory Driver Meeting.
